Well, blog commenting is a good strategy to earn traffic but it depends on how you do it.

Some bloggers leave comments that are not related to the topic because they are just after the link which is wrong and will eventually be marked as spam. It is important that you leave good and meaningful comments because that is what gonna get you clicks from the traffic.

If your strategy is leaving fast comments to get some clicks from the traffic then better stop doing that. Fast comments are usually the one that are rushing to make the comment because they want to be the first one to leave a comment, thinking they’ll get more traffic. Doing that way, you are just risking your comment to be marked as spam.

How to convert those clicks to loyal visitors? You should have a good content to make them come back for more. Blog commenting is not that effective if your website doesn’t have a good content because those clicks will just go to waste. That is why we hear a lot the phrase "Content is King".
